Overall Review: I burned a DVD off my hard drive to DVD-R with no problems and it burned fast. This thing also comes with an sata cable, a pleasant surprise!Ĭons: I know 2 months from now these drives will be under 100 bucks but I got it $20.00 off current price through Newegg's promo email. PowerDVD 8 works fine and is crapware free.
I uninstalled PowerDVD 10 because of the stupid movie service they keep bugging you to sign up with every time you fire up the program. It came with burning software and PowerDVD 8. It came with software to auto update the firmware (which is the 1st thing you should do after installation).
My hard drives are noisier than this drive. Pros: So far I really like this drive! It makes no sound at all when running.
